Prison Island
This part of Comuguay is Prison Island. It is the place where all criminals are sent to. The most important rule of Prison Island is: only criminals are allowed. But who are the prisoners? Well, we have the political opponents, the infertile women, the famous people... That means that tourists and visitors are not allowed to set foot on the island.
Punishments
We have several punishments in our country, the death penalty is a common used method for justice today.
We are very creative in our use of the death penalty. We use the normal death penalties: hanging, electric chair, shot through the head etc. But we also have special ways. For example, we put some criminals in a globe hanging between cliffs, so the criminals starve to death.
Beside the death penalty, we have our own ways to torture. The most "popular" one is "the chain". This is also the most painful one. Next to the chain, we have the saw, the hors and the brain.
We make sure there is no escaping possible on Prison Island.
prison camps
We have 5 different prison camps on the island. In the North, South, West, East and middle of the island. They all have their own specialities and tasks.
The Northern prison camp:
This camp is specialized in nuclear waste. All the prisoners have to work in the nuclear power stations without any protection.
The Southern prison camp:
The prisoners of this camp have to cook for all the other prison camps so they all have enough food on a daily base.
The Eastern prison camp:
This is a women prison, overhere they make babies. So other lonely men in Comuguay can adopt a baby.
The Western prison camp:
All prisoners under 18 years are sent to the Western prison camp. They have to do chores all day long.
The central prison camp:
This camp allows only powerful men, leaders and famous people. There is no torturing, but the prisoners have to work all day long.
The life conditions
Life on prison island isn't as beautiful as it seems. It may be called an island but it is certainly no paradise. Our rooms and bathrooms are unsanitary. The prisoners have to take care of themselves on the island. That means that if they want a clean room, they need to do it themselves. But most prisoners don't care if they sleep in a clean bed or in a bed with rats and mould.
The life conditions are life-threatening. There is no doctor and no cook. The prisoners need to cook for themselves. In case of sickness they are most likely to die.
There are a lot of gangs on the island. Due to our torture the captive member of the gang always reveals the other names of the members. As a result we can lock them up.

As we already said, tourists can not set foot on Prison Island.
We do have several alternatives for tourists to visit Prison Island. They can for example take a helicopter tour. The flights are guided so they get a lot of information about this specific part of our country. They can also use a sailing boat to sail around the island.
